Real Experiences from Puppy Families Like Yours

A Puppy Everyone Enjoys Being Around

“She has helped my older parents adopt a puppy. Kayla, an Australian labradoodle, now 11 months old, has learned basic necessities quickly and because of the training techniques is a very happy wonderful puppy for all to be around.”

Mark, Ho-Ho-Kus

A Different Kind of Puppy Training Experience

We originally met with another trainer who had a very different philosophy from what we’re looking for (ie: pronged collar). My husband found Brooke’s on the American Kennel Club and from our first meeting, we knew this felt more aligned with what we were looking for. Brooke is extremely knowledgeable, organized, warm, responsive and has made training our puppy a joy!

Common Questions from Puppy Parents

Every puppy — and every family — begins somewhere. Here are answers to a few common questions before getting started.

  • Puppies can begin training as early as 8 weeks old. Early guidance helps prevent unwanted habits from developing while supporting confidence and safe learning. Starting early makes the entire training process smoother for both you and your puppy.

  • Training is a gradual process, and no puppy masters new skills overnight. Our program focuses on teaching you how to understand and guide your puppy. I help you learn how to communicate clearly and respond appropriately in everyday situations, because puppies learn best when their guardians feel confident at home. The goal is lasting success — not temporary results that depend on the trainer being present.

  • Puppies learn best when training begins in the environment where they live every day. During in-home lessons, I guide you through real-life situations as they happen, helping your puppy build confidence and clear habits before practicing skills in more stimulating environments. Once those foundations are in place, new environments become much easier to navigate.

  • All household members do not need to attend every private lesson. Each session includes simple, easy-to-follow guidance so everyone can stay consistent at home. This makes it easy for the whole family to support your puppy’s progress.

  • We do not offer traditional board-and-train programs. Instead, our Puppy Immersion option provides structured support while keeping you involved in your puppy’s learning process. This approach creates lasting results because your puppy learns alongside the person they live with every day.

  • We provide in-home training throughout northern Bergen County. Families we regularly work with include those in Ho-Ho-Kus, Ridgewood, Demarest, Tenafly, Ramsey, Oradell, Closter and Englewood.

Because lessons take place in your home and neighborhood, travel availability may vary slightly based on scheduling, but most nearby towns are comfortably within our service area.

Raising a puppy doesn’t have to feel overwhelming when you have a clear plan and professional guidance from the start.

My role is to guide the training process thoughtfully — building skills first, then helping you confidently maintain them for lasting success.

Choose the level of support that best fits your goals, schedule, and how involved you’d like to be in the training process.
