From zoomies to zen — dog training for a happier home in Bergen County

My first conversation with Brooke convinced me that she was different.  When Brooke says that she uses only positive reinforcement, she means it.   My dog isn’t forced to do anything; he is encouraged, supported and praised - and it works!

Brooke has taught the entire family how to train a puppy using positive techniques.  Kayla, an Australian labradoodle, now 11 months old, has learned basic necessities quickly and because of the training techniques is a very happy wonderful puppy for all to be around.  She is currently working on advanced skills - taking field trips to spend time in public places and beyond. 

We originally met with another trainer who had a very different philosophy from what we’re looking for (ie: pronged collar). My husband found Brooke’s on the American Kennel Club and from our first meeting, we knew this felt more aligned with what we were looking for. Brooke is extremely knowledgeable, organized, warm, responsive and has made training our puppy a joy!

We had such a fabulous experience with Brooke! She was friendly, knowledgeable, professional, and so so so good with our puppy Danny. I was really impressed with how above and beyond she went for us. She only uses positive training techniques, which was something that was really important to me. She was honest about her own limitations (like service dog training), and went out of her way to research, network, and share resources for future service dog training we might want for our boy. She is great with my kids, and was so easy to work with.
